Calling ALL potential Board candidates!
Hi folks, this is a reminder that the ALCC’s Annual General Meeting is coming up on January 10th, 2016 and we have two positions available on our Board of Directors. Please click on the link to read about the requirements in becoming a part of the team: Becoming a Board Member
IMPORTANT: Applications must be submitted by Dec 31st, 2015!
Not interested in being on the board but want to be a part of this great organization? There are many different roles you can choose from. Though many of the roles are filled, we always need more folks working together, the more the merrier!!!

We are saying good-bye and well wishes to Darthe Daniel as the co-leader for the BDSM Group. If you are interested in leading this group every other month, please contact us by email at info@thealcc.org. This is a co-lead group with Contessa Alura leading opposite months. She is looking for a highly motivated person with creativity and reliability to help build a thriving and interesting group!

Big news for our groups and leaders in September…
As we say goodbye to summer and welcome in the fall season, we are saying goodbye to some of our amazing group leaders and welcoming a slue of new ones.
First, an enormous thank you to Russ, the leader of the Poly group for the past two years. Your dedication and commitment will not be forgotten, please don’t forget us in your adventures and know that we are truly grateful to you and all you’ve done for us. Holiday Supper and Logo Decision / Souper des Fêtes et choix du logo!
Food, fun and friends made our annual holiday dinner a success. / Nourriture, divertissmenet et les amis ont fait de notre Souper des Fêtes un succès. Thanks to everyone who attended and also for your suggestions on choosing our new logo!!! / Merci tous ceux qui étaient présent et aussi pour les suggestions concernant notre nouveau logo!!! The final decision was a combination of three ideas; one image of a building with pillars sent to us by Theresa from Sweden, one created by from hearts and circles by Zeffen, and an umbrella. / La décision finale est une combinaison de trois idées; une image d’un batiment avec des piliers envoyé par Theresa de Suède, une crée de coeurs et de cercles par Zeffen, et un parapluie. Since everyone seemed to agree that all should be incorporated somehow, our wonderful Zeffen is now hard at work designing. / Puisque tout le monde semblait s’entendre que tous ces choix devrait être incorporé d’une façon quelquonque, notre magnifique Zeffen est maintenant à pied d’oeuvre sur la conception. We will present the new design publicly for feedback once it’s created. / Nous présenterons le nouveau design publiquement dès qu’il sera crée pour avoir vos commentaires.

The ALCC is looking to create a new logo to represent our community centre and the diversity of communities we represent. We have grown from being a “kinky” community centre into an “umbrella” under which marginalized communities, and varying sexual identities find safety and support. We represent all persons who seek alternatives ways to live, love and simply be! / Le CCVA cherche à créer un nouveau logo pour représenter notre centre communautaire et la diversité des communautés que nous représentons. Nous avons grandi d’un centre communautaire “kinky” en un “parapluie” dans lesquelles les communautés marginalisées, et la variation des identités sexuelles trouvent sécurité et soutien. Nous représentons toutes les personnes qui cherchent des façons de vivre alternative, l’amour ou simplement être soi-même!

What does your membership entitle you to?
Your $20 per year entitles you to voting privileges in elections, annual general meetings and special general meetings of the ALCC. As well, you will receive a membership card that will grant you special access to member only activities and events and discounts.
As a voting member you contribute to the growth and development of alternative communities, support and foster awareness and acceptance, and become an active participant in the future of the ALCC.
