On November 1st, we had the Alternative Lifestyles workshop, Disability group, and the Gender Empowerment group.
In the alternative lifestyles workshop, Vanessa covered not just alt lifestyles but as well marginalized identities and orientations. Trans Spectrum, a truly amazing and inspirational workshop! / Eventail trans, un atelier vraiment étonnant et inspirant!
Violet brought Trans issues to the forefront with her Trans Spectrum workshop. She discussed a multitude of different topics such as discrimination, misconceptions, and some shocking statistics about suicide in the trans community. She also explained all about the “gender umbrella” helping us to understand the terms and their differences. / Violet a apporté les problèmes trans à l’avant-garde dans son atelier Eventail Trans. Elle a discuté d’une multitude de différents sujets tels que la discrimination, les idées fausses, et quelques statistiques choquantes sur le suicide dans la communauté trans. Elle a également expliqué tout au sujet du “parapluie de genre” pour nous aider à comprendre les différents termes et leurs différences.
