We are happy to bring back Naked Yoga after a long stretch, pun intended. The lovely Lorena will be leading our magical yoga class where you can free yourself from the weight of life all the way down to your clothes! Please see our schedule for details. This class will take place on the 1st Sunday of every month from 3-4:30pm starting February 5th.

Ditch your ego with your clothes and let’s meet on our mats for Naked Yoga! What better way to increase your body awareness, but feel fully aware of your bare skin through mindful movements? Lorena is a Curvy Yoga teacher who specializes in size-adapted postures and uses gender-neutral language in a gentle and non-competitive environment. This class is designed for individuals to follow their own pace and not the pace of the participant next to them.

In the BDSM & The Law workshop, Maitre Corbeau covered a lot of important things for people to keep in mind when it comes to BDSM and dealing with law, and why there is still some progress to be made. It is important for people to know their rights, and how to deal with things should police be called when playing (keyword: playing/sceneing, not actual abuse!). So much more still remains to be done to ensure we can play without worrying!

The Alternative Lifestyles workshop gave a quick look into what we, the ALCC/CCVA are essentially about, and the various alternative lifestyles and marginalized identities and sexuality and what they are. It even brought in more membership!

The Drop-In was an informal meet n greet, with people getting the chance to asked questions about the ALCC, and the alternative lifestyles as well. And there was even chance to share a laugh or two!

We had the pleasure of attending a new workshop series lead by Shana, an amazingly talented Priestess. She wowed us all with her philosophical awakenings and very boisterous personality. She is full of energy, vibrant, and incredibly kind. I deeply enjoyed her presentation on awakening your authentic self. Shana used a great deal of scientific fact mixed with spiritual experiences to share her points of view and it had almost everyone in the room searching their own values and beliefs.
