Amateur Bondage Group – Nov 7

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The second Amateur Bondage Group meeting was another success. Contessa Alura gave us some quick safety pointers, some quick basic bondage tie instructions, then let us start tying each other up.

This group is a huge advantage for those of us who don’t have many opportunities to practice. It is a nice setting to learn – relaxed, with interesting people, and lots of rope around. We were all helping each other, with knots, with ties, with bondage books, etc. There is so much to learn about rope, about bondage. At one time, it seemed so intimidating to me. But with this group, with courses at the ALCCVA, I feel that it is something that I can get better at with practice. I was so happy to see everybody learning, everybody making something amazing – harnesses, interesting rope ties, etc.

There is so much to rope, the look, the way it flows, the way it feels. At one point, almost everybody in the room had rope on them in one way or another. Great fun!

Drop in day – Nov 7

Following on the heels of the BDSM safety workshop was our ALCCVA drop-in day. The discussion from the previous activity blended in very nicely with the people dropping in. I really enjoy the freedom to talk about “Alternative Lifestyle” things with a variety of people. For example, I can’t think of many social settings where I could go from talking about politics to flogging in the same conversation. And I must say, I do enjoy those big red comfy chairs…

Saxnot’s Beginner’s BDSM Safety – Nov 7

Lord Saxnot's Workshop

As usual, Lord Saxnot’s workshop was filled with interesting stories which made his lessons hit home.  He created a very fun and relaxed learning atmosphere, while at the same time making some very important points on BDSM safety. This was a very important workshop for anyone new on the scene. Actually, experienced players could benefit from the class as well. Some of the topics included: Safety call, how to find safe and compatible play partners, public events, private events, emotional and physical safety, amongst others. If you want to find a BDSM play partner, in any capacity, then I cannot recommend this workshop highly enough.

Contessa’s Cock and Ball Play Workshop – Oct 27/2010

What an intersting group this was lol. Much of the workshop was taught by the lovely David, whom being a very experienced bottom in the area of cock and ball play, offered both his package up for grabs as well as his knowledge.

Since we had a small group this was perfect. It alllowed me the opportunity to basically interview him as a future worshop coordinator and I was happpy with his knowledge and delivery. You will see more of him, and that includes all his parts lol, in the coming months at the centre.

We talked about safety, bondage for cock and balls, percussive play and the effects, different kinds of cock and ball play such as sensual, streching of the balls with wieghts, bondage on the cock and balls, and more.

Thank you to CBTboy for vounteering your parts for our workshop but unfortunately, they didn’t get used. You did get an eyefull though lol.

Erotic / Dark Poetry – Group (Bilingual) – October 24

Dark Poetry ALCCVA 24 Oct 2010

Well, a very enjoyable time reading and hearing some erotic literature.  Amanda is the wonderful new facilitator for this group and her love for books
will definitely make this group a success.

She read some poetry, including a very descriptive Victorian poem…

“There are weals over weals,
there are stripes upon stripes
there are cuts after cuts…”
(Charlie Collingwood’s Flogging by Etoniensis)

Even I read a short story on spanking!

Thanks for reminding me how wonderful the written word can be… for reminding me to take the time to read more also – both kinky and non-kinky topics.

Bondage Hojojutsu Ligotage – Oct 6

It was great to see so many people at the workshop! And some new faces too!

The workshop was extremely informative, going into the history and uses of Hojojutsu bondage. It looked as if it was one of the more difficult forms of bondage to escape. In fact, it was used extensively by Japanese police for restraining people quickly and effectively. Dunter even taught us how to tie someone up with singlehandedly.

There were ten people at this workshop. Thank-you all for attending and I hope to see you again soon!

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

First Amateur Bondage group meet – Oct 3

Our first beginners bondage group meet was a huge success. A lot of people came to learn about bondage, share with others, and refine some of those knots we couldn’t quite remember how to tie.

Many of us had attended one or more of the bondage workshops offered at the ALCC-CCVA and learned a few rope ties that we were doing. All of us had forgotten one or more of the steps to getting it right but interestingly, we all remembered a different part and combined, we were able to remember the whole process and finish the tie perfectly! It was fantastic watching someone get to a stand-still and another jump in to carry us to the next part lol.

I had hoped more people would bring step-by-step instructions or ROPE at the very least, so we didn’t quite have enough for everyone to practice with. While we have some we can share, please do not depend on this for the next group. It is very important for everyone to bring something to contribute. I’d like to see more books and photos to help us learn more.

Thank you to all those who attended, laughed, had fun with us, and to the wonderful people who allowed me to practice rope bondage on them. Since Moonchild Kitty was not there, I didn’t have the chance to fulfill my challenge of tying her so she can’t escape. However, hindsight, I’m REALLY glad I didn’t have to do it that day because my serious eff0rts to practice my technique on Kasandra resulted in a 30 second escape and a quickly defeated challenge lol…. I’LL GET YOU NEXT TIME MY PRETTY, AND YOUR LITTLE KITTY TOO!!!

See you next month!

Alternative Lifestyles Workshop @ Club Sin – Oct 1

While we had a small group, it was nice to hear share so many personal stories about our workshop subject.

Rarely do I get to meet a F2M cross dresser (biological female who cross dresses as a male). It was so nice to discuss the differences and similarities among genders, cross dressers, and kinksters alike. I meant to invite her to our next CD meeting… I better get on that!!! If you are reading this, please check our schedule and come!

As well, it is becoming more and more common that people are choosing and living healthy and positive poly relationships (Polyamory). I had the opportunity to listen to someone talk about his experiences in his own poly relationships and offer his perspective about making it work.

So in the end, though I was the one giving the workshop, there was more of the group teaching and sharing and myself listening, than me teaching at all.

It is interesting to note how much people really know about alternative lifestyles. Now imagine how sharing that knowledge with others helps educate people and reduce the misconceptions and fears about these communities!

BDSM in the 1800′s

The amazing Tall Ships were in town here in Montreal a few weeks back and some of us from the ALCC-CCVA had the chance to go down and check it out.

You wouldn’t believe what we tripped on… many interesting facts about life aboard ships in the 1800’s. Don’t quote me on dates please! The photo above is from the Bounty and I was surprised at what I read. Take a moment to read it and pay special attention to the last paragraph!

It would seem that discipline was well enforced in those days to prevent mutiny. Didn’t work did it? Too bad!

As in many cultures and religious practices, many different types of BDSM was used in those days… read the photo above. Honestly, there were a million CRAZY things we discovered about the lives of sailors who battled the seas.

You’d of had to be a masochist to be a sailor in those days. That, or you’d just be whacked over the head and FORCED aboard. Unfortunately, they didn’t practice the SSCR-A (safe, sane, consentual, and risk-aware).

Imagine, having to make the very tool that is used to punish you!!! I really like this idea even though it is terrible. In the 21st century of BDSM, it’s a GREAT idea and I intend to use it!

Swap the deck scurvy slaves 😉
