Sunday the 15th of May saw a lot of kink, from bondage to bringing kink out of you and not needing to feel any shame. We had a Bondage 101, Conscious Kink, then the Bondage Practice group!

In the BDSM & The Law workshop, Maitre Corbeau covered a lot of important things for people to keep in mind when it comes to BDSM and dealing with law, and why there is still some progress to be made. It is important for people to know their rights, and how to deal with things should police be called when playing (keyword: playing/sceneing, not actual abuse!). So much more still remains to be done to ensure we can play without worrying!

A whole lotta of flogging going on! Then after that…. bondage!

First was the Flogging 101 Workshop, given by Contessa Alura. People learned the basics to get started and reducing the risk. Where to hit, where not to, and some techniques to get started. Sara Jay even demonstrated to a few how to start at florentine!

Sunday the 20th of December saw some great workshops and a group!

Wrap, risk-reduction, and ropes!

The Mummification and Risk Reducing Self-Bondage workshops and the Bondage Practice Group!

First was the mummification, where Vanessa not only showed methods of mummifying someone, but also the safety and as well things you can do when someone is mummified. Whether it’s food wrap or pallet wrap, or even vet wrap, mummification is hot! (And in other ways of the word, as those mummified found out!)

On Sunday the 18th of October, the ALCC held 2 workshops and a group. First up was Intermediate Bondage with Vanessa, then Brats 101 with Mangue, then the Bondage Practice group. A “Triple B Day”! lol!

In the Intermediate Bondage, people were refreshed on safety and risk reduction while doing bondage, then they started with hands on learning. From ways to bind limbs to objects singly, with two variations on the tie – one for laying down and one for standing. Next was ways to bind limbs together, some harness variations and styles, then ways to perform hogties and strapado tie.

We had a good turnout at the September bondage group.  Some of the regulars and some new people too.  We even had a surprise visit.  Eric Paradis, promoter of the Montreal Fetish Weekend as well as Club Sin.  Like usual time flew while people practiced

BDSM Play for Beginners

The BDSM Play for beginners workshop is probably the one with the most material to cover.  It deals with all aspects of BDSM play from finding people to play, negociating a scene, play safety with demos and a play scene scenario.  Contessa Alura also suggested play kits for both beginners and more advanced players.  These kits should be part of anyone looking for play.  Just a warning for future volunteers in this workshop,  bring some lipstick.  Why?  Well Contessa Alura likes to mark the the areas where the person shoulnd’t be hit .  She had to use a permanent marker on me…lol.  A very informative and detailed workshop.  All beginners and even more advanced players will find this workshop interesting.  Also this workshop was being filmed for a documentary that will be shown in France.
