Parade Then Bondage… Can It Get Better?

The turnout at the Amateur Bondage Group on Sunday, August 14th was pretty good, even though some of us had finished a pretty tiring couple of days with Pride! And after the Pride Parade those of us who were in it were prettttyyyy tired lol!  Heck I was still in my fetish gear 😛

It seems every month the group gets a new person popping in, which is great! That is what the group is there for! A place for those who are new or even just a tad rusty to hone up on their rope bondage skills by practicing on each other.  Thankfully J brought a whack of rope, as I didn’t have time to go home and grab mine!  He has a fabulous assortment of various types!

Even with a few of us a bit fatigued, there was quite a bit of practice going on, and I was impressed at how quickly those new caught on 🙂

So if you’ve never attended one, and are new or need some practice, come on by to the next one!  (I’ll try nudge Contessa to be there 😉 hehehe)

Hot bondage on a hot day

Amateur Bondage Group, July 10, 2011

It was hot on Sunday, and thankfully there was air conditioning at the ALCC because there was some hot bondage being done! Yanno, for supposed “amateurs” the group did some pretty remarkable ties! If you have yet to attend one, I would definitely suggest attending one – you can help show others what you know and you can learn some pretty cool new stuff off of others too.  We even had a couple of new faces show!  Salutations to B and D!

And it seemed that the time flew by so quickly! I guess that what they do say about “time flying when having fun” is sooooo true!  “Still” had only completed two ties and the group was winding down… but *great* ties they were – as you can see!

Rope Bondage 101:

Lord Saxnot’s vast experience and knowledge of rope were enthusiastically greeted by a fun group of people in the last Bondage 101 workshop. A couple of us were even eager to show Saxnot some ties we had learnt on the internet… and he was just as quick to show us how unsafe they were! Just goes to show you, you have to be careful. There is so much information readily available now, but it is so important to have an expert to explain what is safe, and what is not.

Ties That Bind

A small group of bondage enthusiast

The last bondage practice groups had a small turn-out with only Rob and “Still” showing up.  I guess the weather had something to do with that and the fact that we moved the evening because of Mother’s Day the week before.

But even with a small group it was interesting to listen to “Still” explaining what he’s been doing to make rope out of jute.  He explained the different process he used to make the rope softer.  After that they wanted to try a rope corset so I ended up being the rope bunny for that.

Bondage school?

The Bondage 201 workshop was a follow up to the Bondage 101.  We started with a review of the knots and rope tricks learned in the first one.  We then practiced a bit.  After that he did a demo on how to use the different knots to tie someone in a hogtie.  A very good workshop.

Amateur Bondage Group - Hogtied!

The Amateur Bondage Group met on February 6, and it was very well attended indeed!  Some regular faces and some new ones too!  Welcome to those who are new!

Members practiced their rope bondage on each other, learned some stuff and taught others what they have learned as well. Many are well on their way to being pretty proficient in rope bondage it looks like!  One subject was even put into a hogtie incorporating not just the usual method, but legs to crotch harness as well as wrists, and the hair tied back to the ankles as well!

The second Amateur Bondage Group meeting was another success. Contessa Alura gave us some quick safety pointers, some quick basic bondage tie instructions, then let us start tying each other up.

This group is a huge advantage for those of us who don’t have many opportunities to practice. It is a nice setting to learn – relaxed, with interesting people, and lots of rope around. We were all helping each other, with knots, with ties, with bondage books, etc. There is so much to learn about rope, about bondage. At one time, it seemed so intimidating to me. But with this group, with courses at the ALCCVA, I feel that it is something that I can get better at with practice. I was so happy to see everybody learning, everybody making something amazing – harnesses, interesting rope ties, etc.

There is so much to rope, the look, the way it flows, the way it feels. At one point, almost everybody in the room had rope on them in one way or another. Great fun!

Saxnot’s Beginner’s BDSM Safety – Nov 7

As usual, Lord Saxnot’s workshop was filled with interesting stories which made his lessons hit home.  He created a very fun and relaxed learning atmosphere, while at the same time making some very important points on BDSM safety. This was a very important workshop for anyone new on the scene. Actually, experienced players could benefit from the class as well. Some of the topics included: Safety call, how to find safe and compatible play partners, public events, private events, emotional and physical safety, amongst others. If you want to find a BDSM play partner, in any capacity, then I cannot recommend this workshop highly enough.

Contessa’s Cock and Ball Play Workshop – Oct 27/2010

What an intersting group this was lol. Much of the workshop was taught by the lovely David, whom being a very experienced bottom in the area of cock and ball play, offered both his package up for grabs as well as his knowledge.
 
Since we had a small group this was perfect. It alllowed me the opportunity to basically interview him as a future worshop coordinator and I was happpy with his knowledge and delivery. You will see more of him, and that includes all his parts lol, in the coming months at the centre.
 
We talked about safety, bondage for cock and balls, percussive play and the effects, different kinds of cock and ball play such as sensual, streching of the balls with wieghts, bondage on the cock and balls, and more.
 
Thank you to CBTboy for vounteering your parts for our workshop but unfortunately, they didn’t get used. You did get an eyefull though lol.
