Droppin’ on in!

On sunday November 6th was our monthly drop-in day.  This was the busiest drop-in day we ever had.  We had quite a few new people showing up.  Some board games were played.  A lot of information was exchanged.  Some new friendships were made.  And excellent day overall.

Small is still good

The Drop In Day for August 7, 2011 was pretty small, but still good.  With the hot and sunny weather people do tend to do other things in the summer, so it is something that we do expect at the ALCC 🙂  Regardless there was a small turnout, and Vanessa joined in after the meeting for the Pride parade.  Though she *did* forget to bring gloves since she didn’t think she’d make it in time lol.

Remember, our drop in days are free, and if you’ve never visited that is the PERFECT day to stop on in!  Even if you have stopped in before, or taken a workshop or attended a group, this does give you a chance to catch up 😉

Superheroes And Celebration!

On Sunday the 5th of June, the ALCC held it’s drop-in day, with a “superhero” theme, and with ulterior motives as well!

See, in June there were birthdays for 4 members… so the “Black Queen” (Contessa Alura) had very carefully laid her diabolical plot! She would lure the four said members to the ALCC Drop In, and not only surprise them with a delicious sweet cake… but lure them in with defences lowered to administer a dark, sinister paddling!

The four unsuspecting “victims” were give a choice of “implement”… which was tricky since all would have given the Black Queen an advantage! Needless to say our unsuspecting citizens were astonished!  Paddles went abound! Four “tushies” were left red!  Many yelps! Many flinches in antici………

This reporter can say that no one was actually harmed…. maybe a pride or two… and maybe there was some enjoyment on the part of the “victims” of the Black Queen, but I can say, as the “Tranz Avenger”, reporting for you, and responsible as reporter, that there were even two “thank you’s” issued after this diabolical deed!

All in all… a great drop in day! And the themes just may continue! So if you want to drop by in theme you can, and if you don’t want to be in theme… NOT a problem! Just drop on in on the next one! 😀

Drop-In Day March 6

Montreal got hit with a big snow storm, but that did not deter the ALCC from it’s Drop in Day.

Tea and coffee were on hand for those who needed warm drinks. Great conversation was right at hand as usual. This is an an exciting time for our Centre and the drop-in day reflected it.

There were so many inspiring ideas for the future, so many practical things we can do to succeed more and more. Our team keeps growing and finding more great people to help out. 

I must say, I really enjoy the range of topics that are covered on our drop-in days. So many fun times just relaxing and discussing important and interesting things.

Drop-in Day Jan 9

On Sunday, Janurary 9th we had our monthly drop-in day. We had a few drop in to say hi and show their support and we also had some stop by to learn more about the ALCCVA. More and more people are finding us, and wanting to know more, this shows that we are succeeding in getting known!

All in all a very good drop-in!
