Wrap, risk-reduction, and ropes!

The Mummification and Risk Reducing Self-Bondage workshops and the Bondage Practice Group!

First was the mummification, where Vanessa not only showed methods of mummifying someone, but also the safety and as well things you can do when someone is mummified. Whether it’s food wrap or pallet wrap, or even vet wrap, mummification is hot! (And in other ways of the word, as those mummified found out!)

December Munch & Movie

The ALCC/CCVA isn’t just about teaching workshops and groups, we are also for members to socialize as well, and the Munch & Movie is a good opportunity to do so.

We had a good crowd, including a couple of new faces too!  Both Vanessa & Petal provided the food, a choice of chicken pita wraps (including non-meat meat vegetarian!) and spaghetti. Dessert was Timmy’s donoughts!  *mmmm…. donoughts!*

The movie for the night was Barbarian Queen 2, and as well a BDSM scene on tape.

Yummy food, fun movies, and good company! Come on by the next one!

Rope it!

On Wednesday December 14, Lord Saxnot gave his rope bondage workshop. Remember – before you take the Advanced Rope Bondage workshop you will need to have taken the Basic first!

There was a good attendance, and those taking it caught on pretty fast on the subject.  Besides how to tie, where to tie and not to tie was also taught (not everyong knows you shouldn’t in some areas!)

Gender Isn’t Binary

The Gender Diversity Group met on Sunday, Dec 11, and while sparsely attended (holiday season does that! lol!) the discussion was lively and interesting.

One thing that has become apparent is that those who are gender fluid need to be protected by law. It is hard enough being transsexual in a workplace, but those who are gender fluid can face some even harsher discrimination.

For some gender is binary, for example male or female, but for some it is more than that. And society does tend to ignore this, despite the fact that it is increasing.

Great Food, Great Company!

On Saturday, December 10, the ALCC held its Annual Holiday Brunch at 1000 Grammes (formerly Kilo).

Also on display were photographs of Theresa from Sweden, in latex in public. The photos are wonderful, and the photos below don’t quite capture how good they are (you have to see them in person!)

The food was wonderful, the chat lively, fun, and interesting. It gave some a chance to catch up with friends we haven’t had a chance to catch up with in a while, and for some to make new ones!

There was even a game of trivia, the four winners received individual cards with gifts inside (yours truly won one, and just loves her card and gift!).

One huhyuge showing!

What a record turnout for the Polyamory Group at the ALCC…. 20 wonderful people!

Amelia spearheaded today’s topic of Time Management. Very important for everybody, for relationships, and for polyamorous relationships in particular. A variety of strategies were shared, with many personal anecdotes thrown in for good measure.

I’m always struck by how the principles polyamorous people use can be very helpful in all relationships.
